      Assumption that GETINFO:Features.Firmware.Version has a consistent versioning scheme across devices did not hold.
      
      Firmware for Polaris: XYZ.XYZ.XYZ, firmware for Aurora: XYZ.XYZ
      
      Checking result based on strlen is not valid, so check only first 8 letters are "Features" (falling back to old VER command if result is "ERROR")
