**Note: The COVID-Net models provided here are intended to be used as reference models that can be built upon and enhanced as new data becomes available. They are currently at a research stage and not yet intended as production-ready models (not meant for direct clinicial diagnosis), and we are working continuously to improve them as new data becomes available. Please do not use COVID-Net for self-diagnosis and seek help from your local health authorities.** **Note: The COVID-Net models provided here are intended to be used as reference models that can be built upon and enhanced as new data becomes available. **Update 04/15/2020: We released two new models, COVIDNet-CXR Small and COVIDNet-CXR Large, which were trained on a new COVIDx Dataset with both PA and AP X-Rays from Cohen et al, as well as additional COVID-19 X-Ray images from Figure1**

# Frequently Asked Questions
## Where are the COVIDNet models?
Download the models from the links in the [pretrained models section](../README.md#pretrained-models).
## Where is the COVIDx dataset?
Due to limited cloud space, we cannot hold the entire dataset, so we provided [dataset generation scripts](../README.md#covidx-dataset). To reproduce the results, we provided txt files, which contain the exact images we used for training and testing.
## How can I contribute?
Possible ways to contribute: provide more data, experiment with other model prototypes, validate model on external data, medical expertise.
## Why is test_COVIDxX.txt different than test set created?
To create a more balanced test set, since there are only 31 covid test samples, we randomly sampled 100 from normal and pneumonia.
## Can you provide the model/network architecture code?
Since this model is designed by GenSynth and have different microarchitecture designs in each module, we do not have the code available, but we provided the [training script](../README.md#steps-for-training) for retraining on the given pretrained models.
## What is GSInquire and how can one get access?
GSInquire is an explainability tool that highlights regions of interest associated with predictions. The image in README was produced with it. It is a GUI tool. It is currently available to medical practitioners to trial it as a way of assisting making informed decisions. From README: `If you are a researcher or healthcare worker and you would like access to the GSInquire tool to use to interpret COVID-Net results on your data or existing data, please reach out to a28wong@uwaterloo.ca or alex@darwinai.ca`
## Tried running the scripts but says that model doesn't exist. How to get them?
The models are not in the repo since they are large and over the Github file size limit of 100 MB. You have to download the models first and change the paths to point to where you put the models. Refer to steps in the [Training and Evaluation](../README.md#training-and-evaluation) section of the readme.
